Region : Thika, Central Province. 


Farm : Chania Estate, Boyce Harries - 1525m altitude. 


This farm is owned and has been run by the Harries family for several generations. The estate is situated near the town of Thika, on rich volcanic soils, and on the banks of the Chaina river. The varieties grown on the farm are principally Red Bourbon, other varieties include Ruiru 11, K7, SL 28 as well as a new variety called Batian.


This is a direct bought coffee by my supplier Belco, they have been working with the farm since 2017.


Process : Washed - Dried on raised beds. 

Variety : K7, SL34, Ruiru 11 and French Mission. 


Cup Profile : On the nose – vanilla pod. Delicate and round body, with notes of plum, stone fruit and a caramel fudge finish.
